Harvard Women in Physics hosted two hands-on activity stations for the MIT Museum's Girls' Day event today. Girls’ Day is not only for girls, but our goal is to celebrate women scientists, and show (and inspire) diversity in the sciences.  Each Girls’
Day they choose a different STEM topic, and this year they explored the topic of physics and very kindly invited us to help support them!

Our activity stations were on Schlieren imaging and ferrofluids, which wowed students of all ages and genders, and some parents as well! A great many thanks to our amazing WiP volunteers: Susannah, Ann, Renate, Kristine, and Emily!
